Printing with your MacBook
Student Party SAM received regular questions from student about whether it's possible to print with your Macbook at Tilburg University, since they don't facilitate a manual. That's why we made a printing manual for students with a Macbook! The manual can be found here!
Opening hours Mensa
The Mensa is opened from Monday to Friday between 08.30 AM and 8PM, excluding holidays. Besides, the Mensa is also opened during weekends in the exam periods because of a joint initiative from Student Party SAM. The opening hours for those weekends are 4 PM - 8 PM. The weekends the Mensa will be opened during the fall semester are:
- 17 en 18 October
- 21 en 22 November
- 28 en 29 November
- 5 en 6 December
- 12 en 13 December
- 19 en 20 December

Opening hours Student Desk
The Student Desk is located in the Akedemia Building on the 3th floor and is opened every working day from 10 AM - 4 PM. If you want to reach them by phone you should do this on working days between 10 AM and 12 PM or between 1.30 PM and 3.30 PM via 013-4668000. Besides, for simple questions you can also check the Ask Student Desk 24/7 on the TiU website.
Opening hours Sports Center
The regular opening hours of the Sports Center at Tilburg University are the following:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8.30 AM - 12AM
- Tuesday and Thursday: 8 AM - 12AM
- Weekends: variable
Opening hours University Library
The Library is opened from Monday until Friday from 8 AM until 12 AM. Besides, the Library also started a pilot recently and therefore opened their doors from 8 AM - 12 AM during the weekends. This pilot will be evaluated during the end of March 2016.

Charging your University Card
At this moment there is only one physical charging point on campus for charging your University Card: in the University Library. Besides, it is possible to charge your University Card online via the so-called E-Wallet.

Get hold of University Council documents
Would you like to get to know more about the issues discussed by Student Party SAM and the University Council of Tilburg University? That's possible! By logging in with your student information on Sharepoint you can find all papers and documents which have been discussed by the University Council and its committees. Moreover, Sharepoint is also the archive of the University; here you can find all information as of 2010.
Free Office 365
Would you also like to have Office 365 for free on your laptop or tablet? Tilburg University arranged this for you, so studying becomes easier ánd cheaper! Quickly registrate with your Tilburg University mail via this website.
New rules for exam registration
Since the academic year 2015-2016 Tilburg University uses a different exam planner, which means the rules have changed slightly. Therefore, think about these 2 deadlines:
- You have to be registered at the latest on the 10th working day before your exam.
- Did you miss this deadline? You can still register until the 5th working day before your exam at the Student Desk. For this registration you will get an administrative fine of €20,-.
Are you not on campus, but do you want to use the TiU network? Then you have to download the VPN-client, by which you can create a so-called VPN-connection. In this way you can, for example, special databases from the Library or send print tasks to the printers on campus! On this website you will find more information and the possibility to download the VPN-client.
Reserving on campus
Reserving a computer spot?
In the University Library you can both reserve individual and group study places. Besides, it is also possible to reserve so-called Data Lab-spots. Every week you can reserve 20 times 1 hour, so 20 hours* in total for a study place with computer. Via this link you can reserve the study place, after you filled in your student information.
* Keep in mind that laptop study places ánd the Early Bird-part can't be reserved!
